Staying WILD, Reflections from a Maturing Wild Woman Soul

Celebrating Wild Woman Soul - What does staying WILD mean to you?
Reflections on maturing, settling into our authentic selves and the post-equinox moon

The question I am exploring today is: What does living from your Wild nature mean to YOU?

For me it means sinking deeply into the core essence of who I truly am, into that place that only I can know, and then letting out my wild yop!

Being creative, dancing and drumming on the earth, and expressing and sharing myself openly from my BIGNESS, not my fear (or despite it), but with my heart wide open and in flow, that is for me living from my true wild call and center.

When I reflect on my wild nature, stories come to mind: my first shamanic experience, (and my second, and my third, the Big One), an intimate sonar and heart-to-heart telepathy session with a wild ocean dolphin, facing life trials and challenges with courage and spiritual stamina, being broken open, and having survived. And more recently how I have come to know and open to my fiery creative feminine side and discover a deeper "Her", the Divine Mother/Feminine force, after years apart.

Today my wild nature includes honoring my older shaman soul, something I once hid or downplayed or practiced quietly behind the scenes for many early (but happy) years. Healing others and shifting consciousness and energy is something I have loved since early in life. And I am opening to offering and practicing shamanism more publicly today. This whole world needs it.

Even at my age, and especially at my age, I need to drum deeply into the earth upon rising, singing my prayers for the day to ground and release and prepare for the day. As a highly sensitive intuitive person/empath, I feel alot in my body and deeply so. so cultivating and keeping a disciplined spiritual regime and schedule serves me where I live today and is not only beneficial for my peace and wellbeing, it is imperative. and yes, I am cultivating a more disciplined practice that feeds my inner fire and deepening joy each day even as I write.

My wild nature includes all of me. It includes embracing all parts of myself, from the gnarley and hormonal to the calm and free and wise. It includes embracing my shadow side, (do you have one too?, or is it just me), to honoring my silly playfullness, rich experience and well-worn path, and the wisdom that has developed inside the great inside during years of study, diving deep, and cultivating my own healing and spiritual growth.

Unfolding a new wild chapter now at age 51, and stepping more openly into a more matured female wild nature does take time and baby steps or gentle leaps are fine. I am a work in progress. And I love what I am coming to behold and know within myself today.

Knowing what makes us happy, not on the surface, but deep and deeply, to the roots and core of our individual and unique natures, being authentic and expressing it, (to even know what that means for us, is to be in part wild, if we are being real,) - and bringing forward our true Spirit and soul gifts and hearts to the world however we may offer them, are all parts of living and breathing as Wild women and awakened men today. Whether crone or maiden, male or female, or somewhere in between, feeling and expressing ourselves freely is something this world needs so very very much.

This has been one heck of a transformational Equinox month and moon/cosmic sky. Solar flaring and clearing indeed. I am happy to be feeling a bit more "settling" happening now. and look forward to evolving this fresh freeing wild call that many of us have been responding with for the whole of the deep past year really, and now also re-awakening as Spring opens her long-awaited Seasonal arms to us all.

My inquiry includes what it means and feels like to be a part of a New Paradigm of earth, goddess-embodied, perhaps more globally shamanic, women and men, with deeper Feminine embodiment, reflection and empowerment, and cultivating a more whole-istic collective Shakti bringing more fierce Light, Nature, Nurture, Justice and Healing to today's in-crisis world. There's a long way to go! but that's ok.

Every day is a new beginning.

Today's Inquiry:
1) What comes to mind when you think of "Getting Your Wild" on? How might you honor the call in your own heart and spirit and begin to open or re-open more fully into your own brand or experience of living wild and free?
2) What activities in your life turn you on? (yoga - dancing - skiing - painting - immersing in silent time or time in nature- exploring another, deeper, layer in your spiritual path)? Reflect.

Be gentle with you.

Dance, breathe, kiss the earth.

Have a WILD day.

The Four Elements of Wellbeing

ELEMENTAL MEDITATION: Balancing your Dosha (body) using Four Elements Meditation
~ a practice to Cultivate Wellbeing and Intuition

The four elements - Earth, Water, Air and Fire - represent the four key ingredients that make up all of life on earth. Add a fifth element, Spirit, and we have life itself.
Our physical bodies are composed of the four elements too: Earth, Water, Air and, one could say, Fire.
When our elements are in balance, we feel balanced. When one element dominates, while another waxes or weakens, we may feel off - sluggish, agitated, over- or under-regulated, or in others ways off-well. Working with the four elements is a key component of balanced living in both Shamanic and Ayurvedic principles and practices.
In basic terms,
EARTH is our body.
WATER our blood.
AIR our breath
and FIRE our spirit, or the spirit (force) that drives our digestive and indeed all of our life-affirming systems.
ELEMENTAL MEDITATION (increases Intuitive listening skills & Wellbeing):
Sit quietly in the morning and tune in one at a time to the 4 elements as they exists in your body. Take your time. Spend at least several minutes with each.
Note which elements feel strong and which may feel weakened or low. Are any of the elements in overdrive? underdrive? Or otherwise in need of your attention.
Feel into these places and listen to any needs your body may have in order to feel more balanced. What foods, activities, types of exercise (more vigorous, or more gentle perhaps), beverages, spices or sweets, might serve your body's balance this week ... Do you need more water? more or less food? excercise? meditation? time for everyday tasks? or creativity? Write it down and follow those prompts to your best ability this week.
Tune in once a week and re-check each aspect. Follow the guidance you receive consciously and intuitively for at least four weeks (one month). At the end of the month, take note of how your body feels.
Are you feeling more stable, present and whole (balanced) in your daily life?
Take notes. Practice often.

Awakening Shakti

What is Shakti? ~ Shakti (from Sanskrit shak, "to be able"), meaning "Power" or "empowerment," is the primordial cosmic energy and represents the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the entire universe in Hinduism.

Shakti is the concept, or personification, of divine feminine creative power, sometimes referred to as 'The Great Divine Mother' in Hinduism. On the earthly plane, Shakti most actively manifests through female embodiment and creativity/fertility, though it is also present in males in its potential, unmanifest form.

Not only is Shakti responsible for creation, it is also the agent of all change. Shakti is cosmic existence as well as liberation, its most significant form being the Kundalini Shakti, a mysterious psychospiritual force. Shakti exists in a state of svātantrya, dependence on no one, being interdependent with the entire universe.

In Shaktism and Shaivism, Shakti is worshipped as the Supreme Being. Shakti embodies the active feminine energy of Shiva and is identified as Mahadevi or Parvati.

Bach Flower Remedies for Emotional Wellness

Bach Flower Remedies for Emotions, Moods and Behavior -

How Bach Flower Remedies can help every member of the the family through their moods, fears, stress, tantrums, nervous habits, grief, sensitivity, despair, overwhelm and much more....

With so much cosmic flaring, change and processing in the air, This is a great time (though anytime is) to stock up on your favorite Bach Flower Remedies. Perfect supports and tinctures for the highly sensitive and empathic or yogini soul, these gentle remedies speak strongly yet gently (effectively) to our delicate human/cellular superhighways, nervous systems, emotional natures and overall energetic states.

You can look up the mood-specific indication for yourself or a loved one (your dog perhaps) on site or where you purchase your local remedies (Whole Foods and VitaminShoppe are great); and you can even purchase a mix-your-own brown tincture bottle to mix up to 4 or 5 needed remedies to make your own special soothing healing blend (see directions enclosed in the box).

Take your remedies in water, up to 4 times a day, and feel sensitivities and cosmic/global overhwhelm calm and balance.

I find the individual Flower Remedies much more effective than the popular single Rescue Remedy, though many like it, as I can tailor the vibration to my own specific needs and issues at hand.

They are ultra wonderful and super safe for children and our beloved 4-legged family members as well.. especially the highly sensitive ones!

Much love

Meditative Moment: Deep Listening

Meditative Moment: Deep Listening

As we slowly move into the experience of light returning I have really been honoring my deep listening time. It has been humble. and profound. simple. and healing. and deeply nurturing too. Paradigms are shifting before and within us. and seeds planted during the heart links of this deep winter season are beginning to take shape, even if we still do not know ourselves what those shapes will be. It is sacred time. awakening time. creative time. gentle time. good for personal contemplation and creativity within and without. and for those answers that you seek? there is nothing better than deep listening. Inquire within. heart emoticon

Shamanic Practices: How to Use Plants and Ritual to Listen, Connect with Other Dimensions and Heal

Plant Medicine: How to use plants and ritual to listen, connect with other dimensions and heal.
Story from Flower Essence Society (FES)
.
Client Asks: My friend has a wonderful plant that she has been growing for quite some time. She has just experienced a traumatic divorce from an abusive husband, and now the plant is blooming for the first time in many years, coincidentally, now that this man is gone. I was wondering if I should try and make an essence for her from the plant, and wish to know your opinion regarding my idea.
.
FES: It is wonderful to be in touch with your friend and to support her on the soul level during a time when she is finding the strength to change her life. Plants definitely respond to our soul environment, and send us messages in this way. Recently I heard from a friend who experienced an unusual flowering of a plant in her garden after her mother died. She went on to commune with this plant, and through its vehicle, to connect with her mother’s soul in another dimension.
.
You can certainly make a medicine from this plant if it feels right for you — of course that’s your choice. Since you are asking for our opinion, we would clarify that Dr. Bach’s original work involved the cosmic signatures of each plant in concert with the four elements. So this is why they were all made at the typical blooming time in spring or summer and outdoors in the natural habitat—where there was not only one unusual bloom, but a whole community of plants, with many blossoms. Each of the four elements would be in a strong condition of harmony—sun, earth, water, air — as one finds most especially during the spring and summer in our hemisphere. This creates an archetypal medicine that can be used broadly.
.
We do not know what plant you mean, or how many blossoms it has — whether it is a single plant or community of them, etc. But keep in mind, that in addition to making a plant medicine, per se, there are other ways to set up a route of communication and healing. This would be especially important if there are only a few blossoms on the plant and you might not want to disturb its delicate and solitary condition. Prayers and ritual and various forms of meditation can be established in concert with the plant and is location near you. For example, my friend created a stone circle around her plant and made ritual offerings to the plant spirit (tobacco and corn). Then she set in the circle a picture of her mother, a favorite piece of jewelry from he mother, and a candle her mother had in her room as her spirit passed over. She came to the circle on a regular basis and began to receive via the plant deva, wonderful messages from her mother.
.
So, the bottom line is — use your intuition in partnership with your friend. This plant is definitely speaking something to your friend. By doing this, you will know the right way to proceed and the right healing technique to use to access the plant's message.
.
Also if you do not have Eliot Cowan’s book "Plant Spirit Medicine," I strongly suggest reading it now or in the future. It outlines many wonderful ways to work with the higher dimension of plants.
